❤️ Wish Shop

Once upon a time there was a shop. He was at the edge of the universe.

Many years ago a hurricane had blown away his sign, but everyone knew that it sold not just anything, but wishes.
The store was huge.

It could be done in it buy almost anything

– health, expensive yachts, apartments, marriage, the position of vice president of a large corporation, the favorite workplace, a beautiful body, the latest models of cars, power, success and everything that a person could wish for. Everything was packed in golden packages with a carefully folded label with the contents and the price. They didn't just sell life and death - they dealt with them in the central office, which was located at the other end of the Galaxy.

Everyone who crossed the threshold of the store understood the price of their desire.

And the prices were so varied.
For example, in order to get a dream job, one had to pay by giving up stability and predictability. One had to be ready to plan and structure one's life, relying on faith in one's own strength and working where one wanted, not where one had to. In other words, to have the courage to take risks and dive into the deep waters.

Power cost much more.

For her, a person had to give up some of his beliefs in order to be able to find a rational explanation in difficult situations, to learn to refuse others, to know his own price (and it had to be high enough to to obtain that desire), to allow oneself to assert oneself regardless of the approval or disapproval of others. Some of the prices seemed very strange.

For example, marriage was very cheap, but for a happy life, the price was very high. One had to pay with personal responsibility for one's own happiness and with the ability to enjoy life. Also, he had to know his own desires perfectly and give up constantly pleasing everyone else,

to be able to appreciate what he has,

and allow yourself to be happy by appreciating your values and abilities. The price was sometimes much higher than expected, because one had to pay with one's role as a "victim", as well as part with some of one's friends and acquaintances.

However, not everyone who came to the store is ready to leave hand in hand with their desire.

Sometimes, seeing the price, a person turned his back on his dream, left. Others stood in front of their desire for a long time and considered where they could find the "means" to realize their dream. Others resented the prices and wanted a reduction.
But there were also those who went to the store and gave all their savings in the name of their desire. They would give it their all and leave the store clutching their new acquisition while the other shoppers looked at them enviously and whispered maliciously to each other. Many times they suggested to the shop owner to reduce the prices,

in order to increase the number of his customers, but he refused every time, because that would also lower the quality of the wishes.
He was once asked if he was not afraid of bankruptcy, and he replied that he was there will always be people who are brave enough to take risks and change their lives, people who would give up the familiar and predictable life, who believe enough in their own strengths and capabilities and are ready to pay the necessary price to achieve their desires.

On the door of the store for a hundred years there is a sign that reads:

"If your wish has not yet been granted, then its full price has not yet been paid."

The dreams are free, but we have to pay our way to them.
