❤️ When you are trapped in despair, read these thoughts…

When you've lost the person closest to your heart,

when you're trapped in despair when you feel

that you are falling apart, read these thoughts. It's a story of rebirth, a little story about a man learning to live again when memories are all he has left.

See selected thoughts from the book You Were Promised to Me:

1. In their lives, people periodically fall into pieces, and then put them back together again and a new picture is obtained.

2. After a while you realize that you can live only when you stop thinking only about what you love and start thinking about what loves you.

3. We must resist fate, we must choose it, not go with the flow. We can carve our happiness with our own hands…

4. Being in today's day, don't cross out everything burdensome from yesterday. Because sometimes the answer lies in it.

5. On the question of whether the glass is half full or half empty, I prefer the answer: “There is water in the glass.” The important thing is that there is still water. A hopeful realism, isn't it?

6. Fate constantly throws us dilemmas. And we always have to choose - we lose one thing, we get another. To hell with all talk of harmony. She doesn't exist. There is simply a balance between lost and gained.

7. Long-lasting happiness comes to those who hold fast to its moments. It's like puzzling over a puzzle and trying to piece together a big, bright picture from the small, colorful episodes. And just when you get tired of adjusting the different pieces to a given image, when you feel desperate to mix everything up, and suddenly - whoop! ‒ it works. The line of the right path is outlined. In order not to turn the state of fairy-tale happiness into a routine, there must necessarily be bouts of unbearable sadness.

8. If things were governed by the strict laws of cause and effect, and we could always predict the end, we ourselves would become a mere crowd of soulless mechanical toys. And when we don't know what awaits us around each next turn, we are participating in an exciting game. It's like taking an exam: you're not well prepared and you get another question you don't know the answer to.

9. There are people who always stick with you, whether you complain, cry or scream, no matter how down you are. They just exist, they're there, and they're happy to open their door, give you a hand, and share their bite with you. These are the real people in your life.

10. When your grief reaches its peak, then it will go away on its own. But it is unknown whether with you or without you. Or when you repeatedly return to it, but each time release a little.

11. We make every choice ourselves. Yes, it depends on the circumstances, on our knowledge and capabilities, but whatever we rely on in making this choice, we will then live with the results of it.

12. Even terrible events have their upsides. We just have to hold the torch of hope firmly in our hands and not let it go in the underground tremors of what lies ahead.

13. As we age, we lose the ease with which we move through life. We don't realize that we can't be winners if we don't learn to lose. See more: 13 words that drain your positive energy

14. We have become hostages to self-centered theories, to clever words that tell about someone else's experience, to ideas betraying universal indifference, to the colorless reality of everyday life. We don't stare at sunsets anymore, we're more excited by magazine ads. And why don't we look into ourselves more often. They are not needed for this money or special conditions. It's easy. We just stop and carefully look inside where our heart has fallen silent and desperately keeps calling us... But it's easier for us to justify our inability to live with our eternal busyness.

15. People live with illusions. Absolutely everyone. And they confuse illusions with hope. Illusions are kites launched into the sky of the future. Sooner or later the wind will blow them away.

16. In pursuit of our own interest, we lightly sacrifice the interests of others and at the same time inflate our own sacrifices to universal proportions. Trying to justify our mistakes, we fail to recognize evil and heartless selfishness. There is already too much deafening emptiness within us. Endless rambling with no action.

17. Leaving the memories does not mean passing them on. You just move them to the top shelf of your mind and start coming back to them with bright thoughts.

18. In the heart of every person lies some power that helps him get what he wants. She doesn't let him rest until he gets to the end. Anything is possible as long as you truly desire what you set out to do.

19. Before you learn the truth, you should think very carefully about what you are going to do with it.

20. While you are determined, you must hurry at all costs. Because it imperceptibly flows between the fingers and turns into doubts. See also: Meditation is a charger for the mind

21. The new cannot appear from nothing. When one world collapses, another is born. For one it is the end, for another it is the beginning.

22. Change the leaves but keep the roots. It is something that lies deep within you. Because the present is not always real. It could just be a new day, the same as yesterday.

23. A person always carries the most necessary and valuable things with him, everything else is just decoration. To play your part in the play, you must know this. To find yourself, your innermost essence.

24. Nothing in nature stands still. The sunset replaces the sunrise. The little bud turns into a flower, the caterpillar into a pupa, the pupa into a butterfly. And from the past comes the present. Patience is required.

25. To get to the opposite shore, you have to go through a chasm. This is how every new thing begins.

26. We like to delude ourselves with illusions. Loneliness laughs at those who hide from it with the help of illusions. Either way, sooner or later we will return to her, disappointed to the core.

27. Childhood memories are always funny if they fall into someone else's hands.

28. If you don't know how to control time, you can't control yourself.

29. High bars are usually fatal lures.

30. If you suddenly stumble, then you should have bent to the ground. To hear what the earth will tell you. She is wise, she carries the experience of many generations. If you forget history, if you focus only on yourself, you are lost.

31. Every death is someone's birth.

32. There is nothing worse than clinging to ghosts. You're always left empty-handed.

33. Silence is the best friend. Checked. She doesn't want anything. It just sits next to you and fills you with peace. Just don't confuse silence with silence. Silence wants to speak, and silence does not need it.

34. Look back only to appreciate the way you've come.

35. Do you know what the scariest thing in life is? To give up. That's the easiest way. It is easy when you are at the bottom of the well to look up and say there is no escape. It's much harder to start climbing up, falling, trying again, moving inch by inch.

36. When you move through the only possible tunnel and know that there are no detours, it is easier for you to accept yourself as you are - an ordinary passenger.

37. The pain of loss makes memories cloudy, but you can only notice this when you find yourself in the light again.

38. It's easy to say from the outside, "Don't take it so deep." But who can know how deep your heart is and what that "deep" means to you? Only you can pick up the stones you once tripped over.

39. I don't know where, but I must go on. Because the path is born from the steps of the one who walks. Read more: ❤️ 70 ways to increase female power and energy

40. There are things that are beyond our control. We cannot forget or fall out of love. Everything that is born in the heart remains in it forever.

41. Life fills the gaps between important events with anticipation - and it is sometimes unbearable, even destructive. Perhaps waiting is a kind of check for us: if we really need what we are waiting for, we will bear it in the most dignified way.

42. Time shares its truest moments with us, and we play eternity in space. We cannot seize more moments than this. Everything else is a pathetic attempt to prolong the game of our petty existence.

43. We don't all have the same powers, but everyone gets the chance to be reborn. The essence of revival is not in fists, but in awareness.

44. We carry so little light within us that we must turn our eyes to heaven more and more often. There, especially in spring, the clouds paint simple pictures or write the most important words: "There is happiness." Everyone sees what they want to see. In the spring sky, some manage to see only gray clouds, but for others it is sea, ships and distant countries.

45. He who does not want to see the light will never see it if he wants the whole world to be in spotlights.

46. Life is given to us colorless, but with clearly defined contours and a complete picture. We decide where to start coloring it and what color it should be. When you tried to escape from your picture and threw the pencils aside, your drawing remained gray, impersonal. Eventually the grayness swallows you up and you begin to merge with it. You have to choose the colors yourself. Your first job is to color the sun yellow. If you want, it can be in green! True, sometimes our strength runs out and pencils become dull. But isn't that why sharpeners were invented...

47. Regardless of the degree of mistrust of the world, we should give more of our inner warmth. We should welcome more sunrises - there is concentrated hope in them. A hope we wrongly seek in the night.

48. Happiness has no exact timetable. It can start even after the projector is turned off.

49. What we need is right next to us. No need to look for it in the crowd. We just don't have to look far ahead, but notice what is close at hand.

50. Deep inside us lives something intimate and touching, which we carefully hide in everyday life. Sometimes it can be inadvertently betrayed, but most often it is locked with the padlock of mistrust.

51. The point in one story is always the beginning of the next. The wall that life has slammed you into with all its might becomes part of a new home.

52. We must also try to make sense of what is happening on the opposite sidewalk. Because when a car loses control, it doesn't choose where to crash - whether to the right or the left. So we never know which side we will end up on.

53. Sometimes a person has an urgent need to reach the bottom in order to realize all the beauty of small joys. When we touch the extremes, it is also possible to achieve harmony and learn to appreciate peace and the passage of time.

54. In the place of the lost, bottomless pits open, and when we try to fill them, we begin to value life even more. But let what we lose be a test for us, not an inquisition.
