❤️ 3 myths about meditation and ... THE TRUTH by Milena Goleva

What is the truth about meditation and the myths associated with it?

As a long-time teacher and expert in the field of yoga and meditation, I can say that there are several misconceptions that prevent modern man from benefiting from such beneficial meditation techniques that have reached us from ancient times, which positively affect all aspects of our being. Meditation comes from ancient times, but has the ability to make our modern way of life much better and much more harmonious.

What are these 3 myths?

Myth No. 1: – Meditation is just not for me, or I can't meditate because I just can't clear my head of thoughts.

The truth: Meditation is for everyone and anyone could meditate!

In fact, meditation does not mean emptying your head of thoughts and stopping, limiting the flow of thought. Meditation is the exact opposite. It initially directs thoughts and attention to something definite and concrete.

For example, it could be breathing,

the sounds in the space, the sensations in the body and only after that gradually brings the person into that state where the mind is free from thoughts, where the stream of thoughts flows very harmoniously, very smoothly and gradually begins to disappear. So that absolutely anyone can meditate.

Meditation is a light and very pleasant practice and a practice in which you do not make any effort to achieve anything. She is rather the opposite.
A practice of relaxing, releasing and connecting with yourself. You allow things to happen, and you become their observer.

Myth No. 2: I don't have time to meditate

The truth:  Meditation is good to do in the evening when you are in bed to sleep

Of course, we all live extremely fast because the time we live in is dynamic. Circumstances require a continuous change of activities one after another, our ability to think about many things at the same time, and that is exactly why I

I recommend meditation should be done in the evening,

when you're already in bed, when you've already taken the time anyway to turn all your senses inward, to quiet down, a time when one by one you begin to turn off the tasks of the day, and turn to a another phase. This is the time I would recommend as the most suitable for meditation. (of course, any other moment of the day when you can take time for yourself is wonderful)

The time you lay in bed

finished all tasks for the day, ready for sleep. The best way to fall asleep is through meditation, when you relax one by one all the muscles of the body and thus fall asleep peacefully, with relaxed muscles, which allows the body to recover at night, regain its energy balance and wake up refreshed in the morning. rested full of energy and ready for the challenges of the new day. Myth N 3: I can't meditate because I can't be in the Lotus position for that long

The truth: I recommend the pose to be lying on your back. Thus, you allow the body to relax pleasantly and comfortably, while the spine remains straight.

The Lotus Pose is a wonderful meditation pose, of course, BUT... the most important thing for meditation to happen is the spine to be straight. And for most modern humans, it is impossible to stay in the Lotus position (which we all know) for that long and keep the spine straight the entire time. What I recommend to all practitioners is to lie on your back in a comfortable position with your arms comfortably relaxed next to your body. A relaxing bedtime story for children

Because when you lie on your back, the spine is absolutely aligned, the head is in line with the spine.

In this way, you can allow the whole body to relax. Because what is important during meditation is to make it absolutely comfortable for your body, so that your body allows you to forget about it. If there is something that stresses you and you are not comfortable, the body will constantly remind you of itself and this will make you come out of meditation.

Meditation is an extremely easy and pleasant practice. It is not about effort or diligence,

just the opposite. It's for everyone, and there's no reason not to take advantage of the gifts of this ancient technique. That's why I am developed meditative techniques, so that I lead you step by step in a very pleasant, smooth and relaxing process.
