❤️ Comparison is the thief of happiness and peace of mind by Milena Goleva

Everything is on display these days,

especially with the entry of social networks into our lives. And this inevitably pushes us to compare ourselves with others, although often unconsciously.

Where does this instinct to compare come from?

Let's trace where he roots?

This tendency of ours is born somewhere in our childhood. It started as a means for our parents to us "tame" namely comparing us to other children.

  • Look how this little girl ate her entire dinner and you…
  • This little boy is not dirty at all, and you...
  • How well behaved is this child, and you...

The goal was to encourage us in good faith to some "correct" actions.

BUT! A child perceives this as a kind of competition, and from there it all starts. Recently, I heard a child say to his grandmother: "Whenever you tell me how well the other children are doing, I feel like you don't love me." This is what begins to happen in the head of a child (respectively each of us when he was a child). It starts to feelings, that it is not loved. And in order to receive love, the child begins to compete.

Thus begins the struggle, the competition, the competition, the scratching, the pain

Then comes the stage at school where we are judged and comparison turns into real competition. Ratings place us in a continuous competitive environment, however WITH THE WORLD OUTSIDE OF US! With the others! And caught up in getting good grades we begin the never ending race of life.
In fact, evaluation is what begins to shape our sense of whether we are satisfied with ourselves or not.
And from there on, throughout our lives, we never stop comparing ourselves to others. Read also: 3 reasons why the same things are happening to you

And so YOU'RE MISSING THE SWEETNESS OF YOUR PERSONAL GROWTH!

Yes, however, you share this planet with more than 7 billion other people. Well! Among them, there will always be someone who is better than you in some area:

  • Ahead spiritually
  • Weaker
  • Smarter
  • More educated
  • More qualified
  • Calmer
  • Richer
  • More successful
  • More liked
  • on on on...

Perhaps the one who has is more educated does not have a good family, or the one who is richer does not have children, etc.
There are many areas in which we develop and prove ourselves. Most people have an area or areas where something is missing. And this sphere is precisely his engine.
We are not in the same corridor. Yes! We run in the same stadium, but everyone has their own path where they "run".

Positive thinking doesn't work! Harmful trap!

In fact, if you know where to stop,

comparison could be a great motivator and inspiration. If you can stop for inspiration. If you go further and indulge in unnecessary comparisons, the constant comparison will become a real painful violence against you. AND NOTE, this is not abuse where someone else bullies you, it is this tendency to compare that causes you to initiate and abuse yourself.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REALIZE that the only thing you have to compare yourself to is yourself before!

YOU ARE HERE TO GET BETTER IN YOUR OWN EYES! You are not here to look through other people's lives. You are here to look around mostly in your own approval. Or to put it another way: look at your running path on the track. The only thing that matters is whether you went a little further today compared to a previous moment.

YOU ARE HERE TO GET BETTER IN YOUR OWN EYES!

Let's do it together now! I would like to take you back in time 10 years ago. Remember what it was like then. What were the people around you like? What did it look like? What were the things that excite you?

Now go back 3 months in time.

YOU ARE A MUCH BETTER VERSION OF YOU NOW THAN YOU WERE 3 MONTHS AGO! I AM CONFIDENT OF THIS (if this article has found you, then you are a seeker, and those who seek reach)! If you like you a little more now than you did 3 months ago, then you're on the right track! See more: ❤️ 10 steps that will immediately bring positive change to your life

Believing in yourself is a skill that makes a lot of sense to build.

The most essential creation on which it makes sense to pour your talent and your abilities is YOU! Because you model YOU. You turn you into a true masterpiece. And this is a supreme skill! You can do so many things. You're on the way. Yes, you will never have finished your creation. But in ages it gets better and better!

If you like you now a little more than you were 3 months ago! So you're on your way!

You learn to value yourself and notice the steps forward and upward that you make. To reward yourself, to enjoy them, to be aware of them. Because no matter how much you have achieved, if you don't know how to notice and appreciate it, you will remain empty inside. The meaning is in every small step and to notice the small building steps that lead you to your ever better version. That means you're on your way.

That's enough to make you feel SPECIAL!

Because LIFE IS WONDERFUL...YOU ARE WONDERFUL!
